Entangled Bonds

Overview

Entangled Bonds is a research project on dependence, co-regulation, and autonomy in the human–dog relationship. It explores how closeness with a human can support a dog’s sense of safety while also, in some cases, narrowing autonomy and shaping emotional development in subtle ways. More broadly, the project asks what happens when emotional regulation becomes concentrated primarily within the dyad.
