They said they’d cut off my balls

I overheard that next week they’re gonna cut off my balls.

Apparently, it’s because I keep going after other dogs.

Like, seriously — the moment I saw a dog, I’d lose it. I’d pull like mad and bark my head off.

And since I’m a pit bull… well, maybe more of a dachshund-pitbull combo… people got scared. They didn’t know what I’d do.

But I wasn’t trying to murder anyone! I just wanted a bit of street cred, you know? I was new around here. Can you blame me?

Once I actually got a chance to meet some of those dogs properly, turns out I’m pretty decent with them.

They even say I’m well-mannered and balanced. And amazing — let’s not forget that.

I never start anything. Unless there’s drama — then I can handle myself.

As for the ladies — they can bark, growl, try to bite — I don’t even blink. I just walk away.

Now I’ve got some dog friends, walks are fun, and life’s not too bad.

Except for those dogs who hang around right outside my house without introducing themselves.

They’re on my list.

But for now… they’re leaving my balls alone.

The decision to neuter a dog should always be thoughtful and individual.

When a dog is young or in a new environment, testosterone can actually help with confidence and social skills.

Sure, there are cases where high testosterone gets in the way — but more often than not, testosterone isn’t the real problem.

It’s just part of how the dog is trying to cope.

After neutering, testosterone drops — and so does confidence.

If your dog’s reactions were rooted in fear, they might actually get worse after neutering. And that change is irreversible.

If a dog’s going to lose a bit of confidence, it’s easier if they already have some solid social relationships — dog and human alike.

It’s much better to build those first than to expect neutering to solve everything.

Neutering is an effective way to prevent unwanted litters, but it’s not neutral when it comes to emotional balance or long-term health.

Maybe it’s time we start asking why procedures like vasectomy — which don’t mess with hormones — aren’t more commonly available.
