I lick the plates in the dishwasher

Okay, I admit it. I lick the plates in the dishwasher. I just can’t help myself. I mean, I try to lick them, but they always shoo me away—even though they clearly don’t want to lick them themselves. I don’t get it.


Also… I steal socks. A lot. There’s just something about running around with a sock in my mouth that’s hilarious.


I know, I’m not supposed to do it. They say I’m being naughty… But hey, I’m only nine months old, and being a sensible, well-balanced dog is still kind of hard for me.

Common sense and patience aren’t exactly the strong suits of kids and teenagers. Same goes for dogs. It’s a time of rapid brain development and a hormonal rollercoaster.


If you’re the guardian of a young dog, it’s worth taking a deep breath and letting some behaviors slide—as long as they’re not causing real problems. At the same time, it’s always good to ask: are this dog’s needs being met? A lot of so-called “problem behaviors” are really just signs that something’s missing—social life, independence, challenges, or opportunities to explore.
